Funerals

At St Lawrence with St Paul, we want to offer you the practical and spiritual care and support you need at the parting of a loved one. We recognise that every death is different, and a range of emotions will come into play at such a time.

This is why our team of trained ministers is ready to listen and help you to arrange a funeral service that allows you to honour the memory of those who have died and acknowledge the loss that you feel, while at the same time speaking confidently of the Christian hope in the resurrection of Jesus and the new life that is available through Him.

All funeral arrangement enquires can be made by contacting the Vicar at revmikebarton@gmail.com and anyone who is resident in the Parish of Longridge is able to have a funeral at St Lawrence or St Paul whether they were regular worshippers in church or not.

More information about arranging a funeral service can also be found on the Church of England’s website and after the funeral service you may wish to come along to our Bereavement Group which has been set up to allow space for people in similar circumstances to share experiences in a safe environment.
